Each new smallcase purchase (created/customized included) would incur a flat fee of Rs. 100 plus GST. No additional fees need to be paid for further investments, rebalances, repairs or exits within the same smallcase. Do note that brokerage and statutory charges on each transaction will continue to apply.Fee based smallcases also incur a subscription fee which differs from basket to basket.

There are 3 parts to understand this:

1. Investing

You invest in a smallcase by using funds in your Kotak Securities trading account. You can either start an SIP or do a lump-sum investment. All invested smallcase constituents will be added to your Demat account.

2. Tracking

You can track your invested smallcase's performance, dividends and evaluate your portfolio under "Investments" . You can see details of every stock so you know where your money is at all times.

3. Managing

You have complete control on your investment. You can add, edit or remove any stock from your smallcase anytime. You can also see & review rebalance updates, edit your SIP etc., from your "Investments" .

You can track the following metrics for each one of your smallcases from your “Investments”

• Index Value is an all-inclusive real time value representative of the total returns of your smallcase. It is calculated as ( 100 + ( Total Returns / Money Put In * 100 ))
• Money Put In is the total amount invested since you started investing
• Total Returns is the sum of realised & current returns, shows how much profit/loss you have made till date
• Current Returns are the current profits/losses you will realize if you exit today
• Realized Returns represents the total profit/loss that you have already booked
• Current Investment is the sum of investment into each of the stocks
• Current Value is the amount you will get if you decide to exit today, it is the sum of Current Investment and Current Returns

Track Investments

Invest like an expert in your ideas by creating a smallcase:

• Select upto 50 stocks/ETFs listed on NSE and organise them in segments
• Assign a weighting scheme for these stocks, or weight them individually
• Compare with past performance of selected stocks
• Invest in your smallcase or save as a draft to invest later

Please Note: You will be charged a one time fee of ₹100 + GST per smallcase

Create Now

To begin investing in smallcases, login with your Kotak Securities ID and password on the website or mobile app, select smallcases and get started:

• After selecting a smallcase , click on the "Invest Now" button
• Choose between Monthly SIP or One Time & confirm the amount
• Click on "Confirm Orders" and voila, the order is executed

Invest Now

Once invested in a smallcase, and if you want to invest more:

• Select a smallcase, click Invest More
• Confirm the amount you want to invest
• Review and place your orders

If you want to exit:

• Select a smallcase, click Exit smallcase
• You can choose to exit completely or partially from your smallcases
• You can also sell individual stocks if you want

In case you have a Kotak Trinity account (3-in-1 account),

• The funds for your SIP instalment will be automatically transferred from your linked bank account into your trading account on the SIP due date (known as the auto-debit facility) and the orders will be placed.
• If the bank account does not have sufficient balance, but there is sufficient ledger balance available, the orders shall go through successfully
• The bank account will be debited even if there’s a ledger balance which is greater than the SIP amount.
• SIP instalment orders will be processed only after clearing all pending debits
• Please take note, since the orders are placed after transfer of funds (auto-debit), there might be a difference in the fund transfer amount and the actual traded value.

In case you have a trading account which is NOT a Trinity Account,

• The orders will be placed if there is sufficient margin available on the SIP due date, given all pending debits are cleared

Start SIP

Rebalancing is the process of periodically reviewing smallcases by their creators. It ensures that the smallcase continues to reflect the original idea. You should review & apply the update as you receive them

Please Note:

• If you skip or customize the update, your smallcase may no longer follow the original idea and may thereby impact your returns.
• Your SIP (if active) will also be updated
• You can check the rebalance schedule on the original smallcase page
